Refund Policy - Way Pay - Online Payment
Introduction
This Refund Policy describes how ASHFAQ TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION (SMC-PRIVATE) handles refund requests related to transactions processed through our payment gateway services in Pakistan.
Our goal is to ensure secure and transparent transactions while protecting both merchants and customers.
Scope of Policy
This policy applies to all transactions processed through ASHFAQ TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION (SMC-PRIVATE) for:
Online payments made via debit/credit cards, bank accounts, or mobile wallets.
Merchants integrated with our payment gateway across Pakistan.
Please note:
We are a payment facilitator, not the seller of goods or services. Refunds for purchases are subject to the merchant’s own refund policy, unless the transaction is proven unauthorized or erroneous.
Eligibility for Refund
Refunds may be issued under the following conditions:
Duplicate Transaction – If the customer is charged more than once for the same transaction.
Unauthorized Transaction – If a payment is made without the customer’s consent (subject to verification).
Transaction Failure – If the amount is deducted but the merchant does not receive payment confirmation.
Merchant-Approved Refunds – If the merchant confirms cancellation or return of the order.
Refunds cannot be claimed if:
The transaction was authorized and completed successfully.
The merchant’s refund policy does not allow cancellation after payment.
The dispute is related to product/service quality (handled directly by the merchant).
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
However, we may share it with:
Partner Banks & Financial Institutions – to process your transactions.
Regulatory Authorities (e.g., SBP, FIA, PTA) – as required by Pakistani law.
Service Providers – who assist in hosting, analytics, and fraud detection (bound by confidentiality agreements).
Refund Process
Step 1: Submit a Request
Customers must email or submit a refund request within 7 days of the transaction date with:
Transaction ID / Payment Reference Number
Date and amount of transaction
Reason for refund request
Proof of payment (screenshot, bank statement, etc.)

Step 2: Verification
Our team will verify the request in coordination with the merchant and relevant bank.
Step 3: Processing Time
Verified refunds are typically processed within 7 to 14 business days.
In some cases, bank or card network timelines may extend processing to 21 business days.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used during the transaction.
Transaction Fees
Transaction and service fees charged by ASHFAQ TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION (SMC-PRIVATE) are non-refundable, except where a duplicate or erroneous charge is confirmed.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a transaction directly with your bank or card issuer, the chargeback process will be handled according to SBP and Visa/MasterCard regulations. We may provide transaction evidence to resolve disputes.
Cancellation by Merchant or System
If a transaction is cancelled due to:
Merchant system failure
Network error
Payment gateway downtime
The deducted amount (if any) will be automatically refunded to the customer’s account within 5–10 business days.
